Working with the local government to care for the street children

Through the Street Child Watch Program, Batang Pinangga is monitoring the presence of street children and reports this to the local governance for possible action and help. Very recently, this initiative was launched in one town outside Metro Cebu, where a number of street children are seen. As a response, the government agencies are studying the profile of the street children and their identified families for possible assistance.  more photos>

Advocacy campaign to stop child abuse

 

The problem of child abuse is not just a concern of charitable institutions but should be by members of the society.

It is the goal of Batang Pinangga to motivate individuals to become caring for the children.  It is one way to stop child abuse. The foundation carries the slogan “AYAW”, a dialect for NO, Don’t.  By learning to say the language, the victims would be heard, by learning how to listen for the signs of abuse, the victims will be helped.  Batang Pinangga hopes to spread the language in schools, in communities.  read more >

Five new children come to live in Batang Pinangga
