“Summer na, adto ta sa dentista! (it’s summer, let’s go see the dentist!) Twenty kids made a trip to the city on May 5, 2009 to have a dental treatment, from prophylaxis to filling to extraction. Not a very usual summer treat, but dentists from Cebu Dental Society (CDS) were able to convince the children that having clean teeth is cool. Thanks to Dr. Shiela Nacua, current president of the society, and to all-time friend Dr. Fredinida Ygnacio, member of council of past presidents, who was celebrating her birthday on that same day. Other participating dentists were: Dr. Mary Ann Cabrera, Dr. Antonio Alfredo Nemenzo, Dr. Lope Noay, Dr. Jera Oporto, Dr. Ann Villafuerte, Dr. Ramon Sucalit. Dr. Wayneth Ibales, Dr. Clint Bacalla.

Meanwhile, the society also accepts donation cans from Batang Pinangga to help raise funds with the campaign, “pagpangga mo, mabusog ko” (your love, I’m fed).
